And the U.S. Senate Votes Tonight

The Senate is voting tonight, but only on an amendment that could have paved the way for President Obama’s Stimulus Package to go through. It would appear that the no votes on the amendment are coming from the moderate and more liberal democrats.  I am deeply perplexed that we cannot get this package through for Obama.  Do these Senators understand what they are doing by standing in the way of this crucial legislation?  Can they possibly understand this bill as well as the man to whom we gave our trust when we voted for Barack Obama?  Have these senators been a part of the detailed meetings and discussions which developed the bill? No!  If we don’t get this bill through, America is in big trouble.

I am beginning to wonder if the Republicans are not really listening to Rush Limbaugh when he expressed his hope that Barack Obama will fail.  They had better not be playing politics with our American lives!

  1. I’m confused and angry. Didn’t we elect Obama by an overwhelming majority? So why is it that we don’t line up behind him with the same amount of commitment? What’s wrong with Nancy Pelosi? Has she had a lobotomy? Does she not understand that the only way she can continue her narcissistic career is on Obama’s tailcoat? As for Limbaugh, let him talk. The more he says, the bigger the ass he proves himself to be. He does not understand that if Obama fails he fails also. This isn’t too hard to figure out, but I guess his addiction to pain killers has taken its toll.

Please, people, let’s prove we’re not as stupid as the rest of the world believes us to be and which, up to now, we have proven we are. Let’s break the pattern and show that we can unite under our President concerning a stimulus bill that is less complicated than our Wall Street bailout which we let pass with just a bit of a whimper because we had no idea what happened to our economy or how to fix it. So now, suddenly, we’ve become economic experts? I would rather trust someone who actually earned his entrance to an ivy league college rather than the detractors of the stimulus bill, since the only motivation I can see (for the detractors is allegiance to the Republican party or just…stupidity.
